Tomson Group Limited (Stock Code: 258) is an investment holding company established in late 1980's and its shares are listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Principal activities of the Group include property development and investment, hospitality and leisure industry, industrial operations and securities trading. Mainland China, in particular Shanghai, is the principal operation base of the Group which has commenced its investment therein since early 1990's.

Property development and investment in Shanghai is the Group's core business with an emphasis on high-end residential development. Tomson Riviera is the key project of the Group, situated along Huangpu River in Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone of Pudong, and both of the sale and leasing rates of the project are rising up. In addition, the Group is developing a low-rise residential property project by two phases, namely Tomson Riviera Garden, at a site adjacent to Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club. Phase 1 of Tomson Riviera Garden was completed in 2008 while construction of Phase 2 is scheduled for completion in 2010. The development provides a total of 291 units of single houses and townhouses. Except 16 units of single houses of which construction commenced in the second quarter of 2009, all the other units have been sold and the remaining single houses will be launched to the market in 2010.

For hospitality and leisure industry, the Group has operated an 18-hole golf course of international standard, Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club, in Pudong, Shanghai. It also holds a 50% interest in Hotel Inter-Continental Pudong Shanghai, a 5-star hotel in Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone of Pudong.

For industrial operations, the Group has invested in 58% interest in an operation of manufacturing PVC pipes and fittings in Shanghai to complement its principal business in property development.

The Group also has investment in various listed securities in Hong Kong to diversify its business portfolio and maximize its return to cash balance.
