Tomson Group Limited (Stock Code: 258) is an investment holding company established in the late 1980's and its shares are listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Principal activities of the Group include property development and investment, hospitality and leisure industry, industrial operations, securities trading as well as operation of and investment in media and entertainment activities. Mainland China, in particular Shanghai, is the principal operation base of the Group since it shifted its investment focus to Pudong New Area of Shanghai in the early 1990's.

Property development and investment in Pudong New Area of Shanghai is the Group's core business with an emphasis on high-end residential development. Tomson Riviera is the key project of the Group and a high-rise residential development on the banks of Huangpu River in Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone. In addition, the Group has completed development of a low-rise residential property project in two phases, namely Tomson Riviera Garden, at a site in Sanba River district and adjacent to Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club. In 2011, the Group entered into an agreement to acquire land use rights of a plot of land next to Tomson Riviera Garden by returning another plot of land in the same district plus payment of shortfall in cash. The Group intends to develop the land into a low-density residential development as Phase 3 of Tomson Riviera Garden. The Group also acquired land use rights of a plot of land located at Jinqiao-Zhangjiang District for development of a low-density residential project in phases.

The Group expanded its scope of property development business from Shanghai to Tianjin and Macau in 2010. It has formed joint ventures with a state-owned enterprise in the Mainland China for a high-rise real estate development project for residential, offices, hotel and commercial purposes at the river bank of Haihe, the central business district of Tianjin. The Group also participates in a low-rise residential development project within a designated World Heritage zone of Macau.

For hospitality and leisure industry, the Group operates an 18-hole golf course of international standard, Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club, in Pudong, Shanghai. It also holds a 50% interest in The InterContinental Shanghai Pudong hotel, a 5-star hotel in Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone of Pudong.

For industrial operations, the Group has invested in 58% interest in an operation of manufacturing PVC pipes and fittings in Shanghai to complement its principal business in property development.

In addition, the Group has investment in various listed securities in Hong Kong and participates in media and entertainment businesses, including film distribution, live entertainment and artiste management to diversify its business portfolio.
